A Cornucopia of Antiques in an Upscale Niskayuna Neighborhood.

This is an excellent very full sale with something for everyone. The owners were longtime antiquarians; there are Shaker boxes, good quilts, lots of textiles, many antique books, including dozens and dozens of Godey’s & genre ladies books. Blue Staffordshire, stoneware and a fine Aristo-Craft railroad train car model, a houseful of lovely antique furniture, good dolls and miniatures, including superbly made dollhouse furniture, the very best.

Furniture includes antique reading/sewing tables, Nice country American armoire, mid century settee, beautiful mahogany triple sliding glass door bookcase, 19c blanket box in original blue paint, mid century magazine stand, two country washstands, Victorian walnut with Burl panel 18 drawer letter cabinet, mid century stands and lamps, nice spongeware umbrella stand, many country American stands and dressers, twin trundle bed, mid century metal desk, Victorian walnut marble top dressers.

Lovely large mid century cherry dining table with 3 extra leaves, Victorian walnut Davenport desk Victorian walnut bookcase on cabinet, Victorian walnut large desk, primitive stands and chairs, Larkin desk, mirrored dresser, unusual folk art glass bookcase, many Victorian boxes, enamel top kitchen tables, impressive multi drawer antique tool cabinet, several oak desk chairs, convertible Victorian oak highchair, spool tables, assorted bookcases, knocked down metal bunk bed set, good ping-pong, table, assorted sterling silver and silverplate.

Nice original finish arts and crafts sideboard, lots of photographic equipment, three sets of Antique snowshoes, directors chairs, nice quality vintage Windsor chair set, nice metal strap large wooden buckets, Venice watercolor, Cupid oil painting, assorted paintings and prints, marbles, napkin rings, large collection of vintage and antique commemorative medals and tokens, Steeplechase weathervane, two hanging metal porch swings, fireplace tools, and accessories, 19thC photographic cartes de visites, tintypes, ambrotypes and at least one dag, some cased, some loose and a few albums.

Vintage hats and loads of vintage clothing, Mohawk Golf Club Polo shirts and ties, multiple Singer featherweight machines, lots of vintage sewing patterns, sewing accessories, dress forms, dolls including Lenci, Heubach & miniature Continental Bisque,  many doll parts, and a nice collection of paper dolls in books, good quantity of nice old buttons, including Satsuma. Giant collection of Godey’s Ladies books and similar genre, 60 plus volumes

The dollhouse furniture is extensive. There is a group of exquisite miniature 1/6th scale furniture made by the late patriarch here, Jack Mangan. We’ve never seen finer, right down to the finally detailed handmade Chippendale hardware. Included is an appraisal and letter from renowned miniaturist Harry Smith as well as a letter referencing an exhibit of Mangan’s work at the Albany Institute of History and Art. The pieces that he made are signed and dated.

His workshop was fully outfitted with good quality tools, cabinets, drafting table, a large assortment of everything imaginable that you could possibly need in a well provisioned woodworking workshop as well as a Honda lawnmower, yard man 4HP snowbird snow blower, two bicycles, many gardening and lawn tools.

The kitchen has good china and glassware, small appliances, cooking tools and pots and pans.

This event will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  This is an excellent sale that you won’t want to miss. It’s all going to be sold.
