Holiday Trove: Day 2 – Fine Art, Silver & Decor– Live Auction 

This year’s holiday auction will be held in two sessions over two days on November 20th and 21st, 2021. All lots, as always, are fresh to the market offerings from local estates in the Capital District region of Upstate NY.

The second session has interesting and unique assortment of Fine Art, an excellent group of Antique Sterling Silver, Decorative Objects and Furnishings, and choice Rare Collectibles

“Crest of the Wave” an iconic bronze by Harriet Frishmuth. Paintings and prints include a striking Adirondack Hudson River Scool Painting and 2 Merian Naturalist Engravings of Butterflies. Furnishings from Mrs. Charles R. Wood include a Chagall Litho ?Couple at Dusk?, a Picasso Charger, a Raimundi Bronze & an unusual group of small abstract bronzes.

Silver features an extensive George Jensen Cactus flatware set, A group of 18c English tankards, A Reading Railroad Presentation Sterling Lg Tray, a 1922 Saratoga Springs Silver horse head Stakes Race Trophy, and a group of 18c American coin silver holloware & tableware – part of a collection from the family of Livingston W. Houston, the 11th president of RPI and descendant of Texan Sam Houston.
