We are based in the Capital region of upstate New York and are members of our local community. All proceeds from our parties stay in this area; we are
not a middleman for a company based in Massachusetts, Texas, or Long Island.

If you are holding a gold party as a fundraiser for good cause, we will match additional donations from attendees up to donating all of our profits from the party. We believe in supporting good causes in our community and have supported dozens of local non-profits over the past 20 years. Our feeling is if your guests are willing to stretch a little to support a great cause, so are we. At a recent fundraiser for a local young mom with cancer, we were able to write a check for 55% of the proceeds to help the mom with her kids while she was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Mark Lawson Antiques will provide everything you need to plan and host your very own gold party.
As you may have seen on the news recently, gold parties are becoming a popular way to enjoy a night with friends while making extra money by trading in your old, unwanted,
broken, or out-of-fashion gold jewelry for cash.
Mark Lawson Antiques will work with you to create a fun and safe environment in which to sell your gold. Not only that, but as the sponsor of Antiques Roadshow, we can also provide
expert evaluation and purchase of coins, sterling silverware, paintings, antique rugs, and blue decorated stoneware.
As the hostess, you earn 10% of the party's sales. If the average gold party takes in $4,000, you automatically receive $400. You provide the guest list and location, and we
will provide the invitations and expertise.
Earn a referral commission of 3% of the party's sales if you refer a gold party to us or if a guest at your gold party has a party of their own. There is no minimum number of
guests required to host a gold party, but we find the most successful parties have at least 8 to 10 guests.
How It Works

To host a gold party, all you need to do is call our office to arrange a day and time with our team of gold buying professionals. Just tell your friends to bring any
unwanted gold or platinum jewelry, coins and sterling silverware, old rugs (even if worn or damaged), blue decorated stoneware or paintings. Provide drinks and snacks, and
we will do the rest! Our appraisers will supply their own gold evaluating equipment and expertise. We even provide custom printed invitations for your event. All we need is a
well-lit area in which to set up, and the party can begin!
Our fully trained representatives will test your gold items for purity and weigh in front of you with industry standard equipment. In a safe, convenient, and low-pressure
situation, you will decide if you want to sell. Each guest will receive a check written on the spot for the value of their gold or other items.

Fundraisers
We are happy to help you host a gold party to benefit the non-profit organization of your choice. Because we have a commitment to support good causes in our
communities, when the party is held as a fundraiser for a registered non-profit organization, Mark Lawson Antiques will pay 15% of all gold purchased and will match
additional donations of proceeds from partygoers, up to donating all of our profits from the party to benefit the charity, cause or organization that the party is being held for.
A gold party is good for you, good for your friends, and a great way to raise money and awareness for your favorite charity or organization!
What We Pay
We consistently pay the most attractive rates in the Capital region. We pay a competitive price for your gold based on the current daily spot price, or market value, of gold. The amount we pay for your gold will depend on the market value of gold that day, the purity of your gold, the quality of the jewelry, and the weight. If you have jewelry that can be readily resold for more than the gold value, we will pay more for those pieces as well.

We buy a wide range of items! If it has gold in it, our appraisers will be happy to take a look at it. This can include old or outdated jewelry that you no longer wear or that
you've just never liked, broken necklaces or mismatched earrings, charms and pins, rings with or without stones, sporting or commemorative medals, class rings, cuff links,
ex-significant other jewelry, gold nuggets, and even dental gold.
